问题:
I have VXI mainframe with a GPIB-VXI/C GPIB controller. Some of the instruments in this mainframe fail to initialize properly. What can I do to solve this problem?
答案:
The VXI specification requires instruments to be ready within 5 seconds of power-up. Some instruments are sensitive to this timing. Current model GPIB-VXI/C Slot 0 modules are shipped with the delay set to appromimately 2 seconds. Therefore, RESMAN runs as soon as the Slot 0 is ready. This setting may cause initialization problems for some instruments. The solution is simply to increase the delay time to a setting of 5 seconds. This holds of the running of RESMAN allowing all the modules to be ready for it to run.
Information on how to perform this change is provided in the "Change Configuration Information" paragraph of section 4 in the National Instruments GPIB-VXI/C User Manual.
