Li-ion: Li-ion batteries are relatively safe, but should be recycled or disposed of properly at the end of product life. There may be specific legal requirements for battery collection and disposal in your community. NiCd: Do not dispose of NiCd batteries in the landfill because they contain toxic materials. They should be recycled or disposed of properly.
